Closing an Incident

You can close any incident that you created, regardless of its current status. Typical reasons for closing your own incident include:

Finding and implementing a solution.

Determining that the incident does not require further investigation or resolution.

Determining that the incident is closed after a Service Desk Analyst updates the incident status to resolved.

To close an incident, do the following:

1.Open the incident. See Viewing an Incident in the My Open Items Pane or Viewing an Incident in the My Items Workspace.

2.Click Close Incident.

The incident status changes to closed and the system sends you a survey.
